Heritage Hill Equestrian Center was started  in 1983 by Don and Antje Mowell.  They started with a small barn in Garland, TX and a hand full of horses and have been growing ever since. In the 80’s you could take trail rides 5 miles down the road and visit the famous South Fork Ranch.  The woods and creeks that make up Fire Wheel Golf Course were natural and undisturbed.

A few barns later and lots of growing pains later, HHEC came to Princeton in 1994.  The whole group, boarders and students all together saddled up their horses, about 40 in all, and moved the entire barn on a cross county trail ride.  The famous “Big” trail ride" went from west McKinney by Myers Park all the way to Princeton.  You bet we made the news back then!

Heritage Hill Equestrian Center has called Princeton home now for more than 20 years.  HHEC sits on 40 acres in Princeton Texas in north Collin County. There are 2 separate barns dedicated to boarders, one main school barn.  We have several arenas for lessons and practice for all.

Over the years we have made a lot of friends from all over the country and all over the world.  We now have past students bringing their children and grandchildren back to ride.  We hope you’ll come out and make some memories with us too.
